One of the main sources of information about public works in Spain is Revista de Obras Públicas, which has been informing about the work of civil engineers since 1853.
Creators talk about their work through this publication. Designers and builders use its pages to share their experiences in different projects. In articles in Revista de Obras Públicas, civil engineers narrate their thoughts about projects and the difficulties found in executing plans. Its greatest virtue is that it shows the part of a process that can never be found in a project, among other things because it occurs when the project is complete.
The entire journal has been reviewed, thanks to the collaboration of the School of Civil Engineering, the institution that currently published the journal, the library of which contains one of the few complete collections. The journal was completely reviewed in that library from April 2003 to March 2004, before the digital edition of the journal (ropdigital.ciccp.es) was published. This is an advantage for the reader, because as the search criteria of the digital edition are not the same as those used in the programme, the results are not completely consistent. By consulting both sources, the reader who seeks information about public works in Andalusia can find more entries on his subject of interest.
