Photographs can help to date public works. With a series of photographs from different eras of the same infrastructure we can follow its original status and any changes or rehabilitation processes over time. They are an indisputable source of information when they are dated.
This database was created after studying photographs of public works in Andalusia in the Administration’s General Archive, the National Library, the Institute of Spanish Historic Heritage, the aerial photograph section of the National Geographic Information Centre, the Central Air Force Archive the Centre of Historic Studies of Spanish Public Works, Urbanism and Landscape.
The resulting database provides a description and digital reproduction of the studied photographs. It currently contains around 2,225 entries.
